“Streamlining and automating our system helps clients cut costs”
6 September 2020
Zacco is growing! This time, we had the pleasure to talk to Helle Lerche Neergaard and Agatha Bergman, two new members of the IP Services department with loads of energy and drive. Both have joined Zacco after the summer vacation; Helle took up a position as Head of Business Development and Client Relations at Copenhagen and Agatha started in her team as a Relationship manager located in Gothenburg. They share a passion for automated and waterproof systems built with the clients in mind. And surely, even starting a new job during times marked by Corona restrictions could not stop them.
W__elcome to Zacco, Helle and Agatha! What did you work with prior to joining Zacco this August?
Helle Lerche Neergard: - For the last 4 years I have been working in the IP world, within management, digitization and sales. Before that, I have worked in the IT- and Electronics-sphere at different MNEs for many years – therefore knowing how important it is to have as much automation as possible in a world with low profit margins.
Agatha Bergman: -Well, most recently I come from a position as a Corporate IP Portfolio Specialist in the Energy sector and I got to know Zacco from the client perspective. From 2009 to 2013, I was a project leader at Patrix, travelling a lot in the US and in Europe and customising their product for agents and industry clients. I understood that a streamlined and trustworthy system is essential in the IP industry.
What was your reason to join Zacco?
AB: I am so glad it turned out this way! I already knew and liked some Zacco employees from Norway and the picture they painted of life and work at Zacco. My new position is split into two main parts, I will be doing client work as well as developing the platform and train the users. That suits me very well.
HLN: Zacco seems to be - by far – the most professional innovative company I have worked at. Zacco has a very broad BI landscape, knowing all about their business and having a clear strategy going forward. I am excited that I am heading the Annuities and Renewals functions as well as working with the launch and implementation of the new platform with all its evident advantages. You will hear a lot more about that soon!
Would you define Zacco as an agile company?
HLN: Yes, I definitely would. And this is not common in this rather conservative, sometimes even old-fashioned industry. We are focusing on implementing automated systems that help clients to cut costs due to increased efficiency.
AB: We really aim forward and take in the needs of our clients. Streamlining and digitisation helps both them and ourselves to become more efficient and allocate the resources to the right things, not repetitive and meaningless tasks. I really appreciate Helle’s digitisation background here, because she approaches issues in a different and unafraid way.
Both of you have newly-created positions and roles, what is the reasoning behind those?
HLN: We are here as a result of a consequent development in Zacco’s work with the portfolio-related IP services. Our functions are designed to utterly speed up the process and look into further opportunities connected to automation.
AB: And we definitely feel needed! Both of us just jumped into the projects.
Thank you for the conversation, Helle and Agatha! Your enthusiasm is utterly contagious.
